Alex Mizell

Founder

Alex started Mizell Honey in 2021 alongside his dad, Allen, turning a long-time idea into a reality. What began in his garage has grown into a thriving operation now based out of a commercial warehouse in South Georgia. With several hundred hives of his own and deep roots in the beekeeping community, Alex is passionate about bees, honey, and supporting fellow beekeepers through his quality equipment offering and industry knowledge.

Born and raised in Willacoochee, Georgia, Alex spent a short time in Atlanta after college, where he met his wife, Samantha. Today, the two live in South Georgia with their children, Charlotte and Easton. When he’s not working with bees and building equipment, Alex serves as an engineer with the Douglas Fire Department — yes, he’s the guy behind the wheel of the firetruck. And if by chance he’s not with his bees or at the fire station, you’ll probably find him on the golf course.
