Allen Mizell

Founder
Smiling man with a beard and mustache in a blue button-up shirt standing outdoors next to a large stone with greenery in the background.

Allen founded Mizell Honey with his son, Alex, combining his love of agriculture with a belief in building something lasting together as a family. Before beekeeping, Allen spent nearly 25 years working as a contractor, where he honed his carpentry skills and developed a strong work ethic that he now brings into the honey business. Today, you’ll find him in the equipment shop full time, where he oversees quality control, safety, and day-to-day operations to keep everything running smoothly.

Allen has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, for nearly 30 years, and together they’ve raised three children who are now thriving in their own careers and families. These days, one of his greatest joys is spending time with his five grandchildren.

Outside of work, Allen is deeply devoted to his church community. As the lead deacon, he not only helps maintain the church but also plays a big role in outreach efforts — from mana drops to meal programs and support for those in need. For Allen, faith, family, and community are at the heart of everything he does.
