Hold Our Honey — We’ve Got Big Plans for 2026

As we close out 2025, we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful. Truly — our customers are the heartbeat of this business. Every box we build, every pallet we assemble, every Nuc we raise, and every jar of honey we bottle exists because of the beekeepers who trust us with their operations. Your referrals, your repeat orders, your patience during the busy seasons… it all means more to us than we can put into words.

Building the equipment that helps other apiaries grow isn’t just our job, it’s a privilege, one we take seriously (even if we’re occasionally fueled by too much coffee and the sound of saws running before sunrise).

A Look Back at 2025

2025 was a big year for us — the kind that stretches you, challenges you, humbles you, and ultimately grows you.

What went well:

  • We increased our equipment sales by about 33% over last year (and yes, our jaws are still on the floor a little).

  • We added a USDA safe room to the shop for even safer honey production, a huge step in quality and compliance.

  • We invested in new equipment and dialed in our processes to be more efficient and more consistent.

  • We strengthened relationships with customers who feel more like extended family at this point.

What challenged us:

  • Finding consistent, reliable employees (if you know anyone who loves bees and doesn’t mind sawdust hair, send them our way). Shoutout to Ethan and Rachel for always stepping up and carrying the weight of production on their backs no matter what.

  • Keeping up with the overwhelming volume of orders — which meant 7-day workweeks and the occasional 12+hour workday to meet deadlines.

  • And yes… that very convincing scam honey order that still makes our stomachs drop when we think about it.

But even with the bumps, 2025 was a year of momentum — the kind that sets the stage for something even bigger.

What’s Coming in 2026 (and Why We’re So Excited)

If 2025 was growth, 2026 is shaping up to be lift-off.

1. A Shop Expansion + New Pole Barn
More space = more equipment, more inventory, and more room to breathe (literally). This expansion will help us increase production and reduce turnaround times, something we know means a lot to commercial and hobbyist beekeepers alike.

2. Three-Phase Power (!!!)
This one deserves its own fanfare, because it is huge. Installing three-phase power will allow us to run higher-grade, faster, more precise equipment. And the best part? The new machinery is already sitting in the shop, just waiting for its big debut. A special shoutout to the City of Willacoochee for working with us on modifying our Revolving Fund Loan (RFL). Their support is a big part of why these 2026 upgrades are possible.

3. Growing the Apiary
Next year, we’re focusing heavily on strengthening and expanding our apiary. A larger, healthier bee population means:

  • The ability to offer many more Nucs and packages

  • The possibility of out-of-state pollination contracts, a space we are excited to move into

  • A more robust, sustainable honey production cycle

If the bees do their part (and we give them the right care), the potential here is enormous.

4. Expanding Our Honey & Retail Product Line
We’re buzzing with excitement about this one. In 2026, we plan to introduce:

  • Beeswax lotions

  • Beeswax soaps

  • Beeswax candles

  • And more all-natural goodies made straight from the hive

These products not only use our own wax and honey, they reflect the same quality and care we put into our equipment.

Our Commitment Moving Forward
As we grow, one thing will never change: Our commitment to personalized customer service, affordable pricing, and top-tier quality. We’ll always answer the phone. We’ll always take time to talk through orders. We’ll always build equipment we’re proud to put our name on. And we’ll always be thankful — deeply thankful — for the beekeeping community that believes in us. Your trust is what has allowed Mizell Honey to grow from a small family operation to a player in the equipment industry. Your support is why 2026 will be our biggest and brightest year yet. Here’s to more bees, better equipment, fewer 12-hour days (please, Lord), and another year of serving the beekeepers who make everything we do worthwhile.

Thank you, truly, for being part of our story!

With gratitude,

The Mizell Honey Family
